Our regular office hours are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Thursday and Fridays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Urgent treatment services are available 7 days a week.

In the event of a life-threatening medical emergency, call medical emergency services at 911 immediately. DO NOT WAIT! Inform the emergency room staff that you are a patient of Dr. Brarens or of Dr. Cullum's at SureStep Foot & Ankle Medical Center and they will contact us.

If you have an urgent medical need and need to talk to Dr. Brarens after our regular hours, please call the office at (513) 489-2400 and our answering service will take your information and contact Dr. Brarens on your behalf and he will return your call promptly. Urgent medical conditions can be treated 7 days a week.

At SureStep, we accept Workers’ Compensation, Medicare, and most major insurance plans. Please contact your insurance company or you may call our office at (513) 489-2400 to find out if we accept your insurance plan.

If your insurance is an HMO/managed care plan and you are required to obtain a referral from your primary care physician, the referral must be obtained before you can be seen for an office visit. Please coordinate this with your primary care physician in advance. Appointments will be rescheduled if required referrals are not received in the office by the time of your visit.

Prescriptions and refills for established patients of SureStep Foot & Ankle Medical Center are routinely issued during our regular office hours (see above). You can make your request by calling our office at (513) 489-2400. No refills are issued during the evenings, weekends, or holidays, as the doctors do not have access to your medical records during those times. It is helpful to anticipate your refill needs to avoid an interruption in your medication therapy.
